Biography

Hailing from the primitive outpost called Planet Primus in the Centra system, the slamming, bamming denizen called Grovel has an interesting history to say the least. First recruited by the legendary Krakan as a member of the HitMen for Hire, Grovel introduced the GWF (then the GWFC) to the Lava Pit Match (the likes of which were certainly unfamiliar even to the most unorthodox GWF'ers!). On the other hand, a la the Dark Star Creature introduced by Beast-Rider in the bygone days before the breaking of the Galactic Code, Grovel doesn't really possess the ability (physical or mental) to finish off an opponent convincingly. Grovel's chances of holding a title belt were slim at best, but at the very least, as a member of and bodyguard to Murdok's World, he put a few bumps on the heads of those who dared step in the ring, or the lava, with him. At least he was on the winning side of the Sudden Death feud with the Ramparts. Otherwise, his head might have been the one to roll. He returned home for a short time in 2115, but resurfaced in the GWF as a member of Murdok's Galaxy and then lent his fist to the Serpents of Evil.

When the dimensional gates were sealed back up following the end of the Cosmic Battle, Grovel instinctually returned to Planet Primus to witness the spawning of the new Heathen Chief, Paganax. Alongside fellow denizens Krypt and Jakyll, Grovel has devoutly served his Chief in the aCe and continued his career brutalizing anyone in Planet Primus' path. In what will undoubtedly go down as a memorable and heroic act in the recorded history of the Tribes of Primus, Grovel ensured that his death would not be in vain (following the Tribal Tragedy massacre by the Syndicate). Using his last bits of energy, Grovel gave over his own life-force to be absorbed by Paganax. This selfless act allowed for the resurrection of the Heathen Chief and perhaps the continuation of the race itself.

Trivia

Originally, when looking at the original GWF Centra characters that would act as the base cast for aCe: 2119, Grovel was nearly written out as a "feast for the Chief." Paganax was going to eat Grovel in a display of his 'damage absorb power-up' mechanic. Grovel would go on to be written out of the story in 2121 in true hero fashion.
